Education: Purdue University (2010) B.A. in Psychology
Research Interests:
I am interested in a wide variety of topics in cognitive psychology, with specific pursuits in two main areas. My current primary area of research is in the psychology of the supernatural and what makes supernatural concepts memorable. This area involves topics such as the definitions of ontological categories, naive concepts of physics, biology, and psychology, as well as the idea of concepts which are minimally counterintuitive. A secondary focus of my research is in educationally relevant applications of contemporary discoveries in cognitive psychology, including the retrieval-practice paradigm used by authors such as Jeffrey Karpicke.
